Evolve your backbend practice in this new class. The class starts soft and slow, offering space to arrive on your mat, in this space, with your breath, with your soul essence. Warm up gently. Feel free to stop here if that was enough or challenge yourself to carry on. We warm up and slowly introduce the opportunity to backbend. Slowly yet surely the practice deepens into more progressive backbends. There is an opportunity for the potential to try new backbend variations that are beautiful, fun and offer strength and flexibility. They say you are as young as your spine, create your very own fountain of youth through your practice. Open your chest, your shoulders, hip flexors, stretch your quads, hamstrings, spine and so much more. With the splits, camel, pigeon, wheel, yoga drills and more this class is very well rounded. I love it so much and how it makes me feel, I hope you do too! This class has the potential to leave you feeling more relaxed, uplifted and energized. Release anxiety, stress, improve your posture, spine mobility, stretch and strengthen your core, increase your oxygen levels while opening your heart chakra. Please proceed with caution only going to the level that feels comfortable to you. Avoid backbends if you are: Pregnant, have a back or neck injury or any pain, untreated hypertension, anxiety that worsens with backbends, osteoporosis or any other spinal complications.
